This book really explains the SAT. It goes through the sections and provides example questions and previous SATs. this book will really prepare you to get a 1600 on the SAT.

I am the author of The Laugh Out Loud Guide: Ace the SAT Exam without Boring Yourself to Sleep! and I tell people to buy the official guide because that’s the only one with real SAT test questions. Having said that, I think it’s important to buy AT LEAST one other book together with the official guide. The Laugh Out Loud Guide works great because it uses comedy to teach the material.
For Example:
1. Yo Momma so _______, when you mail her a letter, you need two zip codes.
(A) diaphanous
(B) luminous
(C) ravenous
(D) grisly
(E) corpulent
2. At a Saks Fifth Avenue store, Winona Ryder examines four distinct blouses, five distinct dresses, and two distinct handbags. How many different combinations of items can she shoplift if she takes exactly one blouse, two dresses, and a handbag?
Boring test questions are a cornerstone to any good SAT prep, but memorable and engaging comedic questions can help you learn and remember the material more effectively. This knowledge can then be applied to the test questions. Research shows that comedy enhances learning, reduces stress (making it easier to absorb material), makes subjects more interesting, and increases recall (so you remember things better on test day). So whatever prep path you take, you will find it greatly enhanced by adding The Laugh Out Loud Guide to your test prep mix.
Finally, as far as this edition of the official guide, if you already have the previous edition then it may not be worth buying this one because most of the book is recycled from the previous edition. Otherwise, buy this book together with The Laugh Out Loud Guide. And good luck on the test!
